HOW DID YOU COME TO WORK WITH OUR COMPANY? TELL US YOUR STORY.
I began my hospitality journey about 10 years ago, earning degrees in both Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts. I spent several years working in a variety of roles with a huge multi-national company that is a leading provider of integrated food and facilities management. My first formal hotel position was eight years ago as a Front Desk Agent.
I spent the next six years collecting knowledge and gaining skills in every department of a hotel, learning how to run a successful operation. In 2016, the Assistant General Manager position opened at the Hotel Nexus. I applied to work with the 360º Hotel Group and got the job! I spent two years in that role at the Nexus before I had the opportunity to transfer as AGM to the company’s IHG Staybridge Suites property. My goal has always been to get to General Manager, and I knew my experience at the Staybridge would provide even more learning opportunities towards my goal.
The road to GM was a lot shorter than any of us anticipated. Just three weeks after I started at the Staybridge, one of our long-time GMs retired. I applied for her position and am now the General Manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Lynnwood, WA.
